The fishing looks very much like it did last week. Water temperatures around 8-11 degrees Celsius. It has been a couple of days with winds from the north, cooling the water down. That has made the cod fishing really tough making the fish move to deeper water. Despite this the halibut fishing seems to be more productive choice with a lot of fish being caught (and lost;). They might vary in size but a halibut is still a halibut, the biggest one so far is a nice fish at 65 kg ( 166 cm ). That is really a dream catch for many anglers! The fishing will most likely get even better, so who knows how long it will take before somebody catches an even bigger one?
We are crossing our fingers and wish for some warm wind from the South, which makes the cod and the coalfish to move up on the shallow points and grounds.
