Around Lauklines, there are lots of hiking opportunities for every level of ability and ambition. You can experience a gentle stroll along valleys with babbling brooks and small waterfalls in lush birch forests. Spend a quiet moment away from everything at a small tarn or lake.
At ut.no you can get a lot of suggestions of hiking in the area and on Saturday we choose to go til Hillesøya. At ut.no we can get this information about the trip:
“This is a small but beautiful top on the seaward side of Kvaløya right next to Sommarøy. Moreover, from Hillesøytoppen you get a view right out to the ocean!
At “the youth house”you can park your car and follow a path upwards. The trail is steep at first and there have been set up iron bars with rope in between to help you. An alternative way down is to go down on the south side of Hillesøya down to Sandvika. There is a sheltered cove with a sandy beach. You come from the top by going nearly flat straight south. After a few hundred meters you will meet a path that becomes more and more evident. Go almost to the sea before turning right towards the beach. Follow the path back to the village via some smaller beaches. “(Http://ut.no/tur/2.5014/)
Both young and old agreed that the trail was steep at first, but the view we got from the top made the effort well worth!
