An experience for the family
This tour is designed for people with very little experience and for those who have never tried snow-shoeing. This trip is also perfect for families with kids from 8-10 years old.
After a short 10 minutes drive to the top of the Tromsøya island, we first learn how to put the snowshoes on and off and then we start walking slowly into the forest.
What will you see?
Our guide will lead you through a flat to little hilly terrain. We stop several times during the walk for photos and to provide you with information about our beautiful city and Arctic environment. We spend the time in a scenic area with birch and spruce forests with the opportunity to enjoy the view of the distant landscape of Kvaløya on one and the mainland on another side of the island. We take a few short breaks during the tour and a longer one when a hot drink and lefse – a local sweet snack are served.
You need warm clothes
As the weather can change quickly in Northern Norway, participants need to wear warm clothes – a windproof jacket, trousers and winter boots on all our tours. They are not included in the price of the tour but can be rented separately at our rental center.
