Just like the spring last season, this one also brought along some snow. Not a whole lot but still snow. As always with the wheather during this time of the year, the wind and cold can make it quite tough on the outside fishing areas, but we can also have really nice conditions.
This week gave us a couple of days with close to zero wind and good fishing. The capelin are still around and they are on the menue. I can also mention that there where two humpback wales outside the fjord. Only for a short time, but that really shows that the tiny baitfish attracts all sorts of animals. If you like birds, then it might be of interest to know that the puffins have started to arrive and I guess that soon we will hear stories about big halibuts again…
All the best and tight lines!
