A lot of our guests go for day trips around the area to see the amazing surroundings. Some of them go to the island Senja, just a ferry trip away.
Senja Island is the second largest island in Norway, boasting over 1500 square kilometres of northern arctic paradise. Even if it is a large island, it is not more then 8000 people living at Senja. The island is famous for it’s crazy mountain peaks, deep fjords, valleys, rolling meadows, pine forests, and gorgeous bay of islands.
From Lauklines you need about 30 min to the ferry, and the trip over to Senja takes about 40 min. Here you can find the time schedule for the ferry.
There are a lot of different places to see at Senja. We recommend the northern part for a day trip, where you can visit Husøy, Ersfjord beach with the famous “golden wc” and the view point of Tungeneset.
