A trip to the peaceful island of Tussøya is like traveling back in time
We live in a historic area here on the outside of Kvaløya. Together with Explore the Arctic, one of our missions is to share and preserve local stories and traditions. Explore the Arctic offers a trip to the quiet island of Tussøya which has been inhabited since the Iron Age, and was previously important for trade in the area. Today, only a handful of people live there. The trip starts here at Lauklines.
On the island we will visit the unique boat engine museum and meet Ragnvald who has lived all his life on the island. You will also be served a hot soup and a traditional dessert from the area. Read more here.
