When you live here all the year, it’s unfortunately easy to get blind of the wildlife we are surrounded by. \u00a0Local wildlife is diverse and if just stop and listen to the sound of nature, you hear a lot of different bird species. Sea eagles and various marine birds are a common sight all year round. In the summer, thousands of marine birds nest in the area, including the charismatic puffins. You can also be lucky to spot porpoises, seals and otters from land. If you join a wildlife fjord cruise and are a bit lucky, you might catch a glimpse of larger whale species.
