Guided snowshoeing hill climb Kvaløya
A choice for those who are out to explore more! Immerse yourself in their outdoor snowshoe hike. Experience wild nature and Northern Norway elements at their best.
On arrival at Kattfjordeidet, they teach you how to use the snowshoes and start the adventure. You hike to one of the smaller summits with great views over the majestic surrounding mountains and the fjord – if only the weather allows you to see them.
During the hike you stop a few times for rest, photos and to get information about the region and the Arctic environment. One break is longer, and a hot drink and lefse – a local sweet snack are served.
There is an elevation of just under 400 m to hike to the summit in a snowy mountain terrain so a moderate level of fitness and health is required. The tour is not suitable for guests with a heart condition or limited physical abilities.
Winter clothes are not included in the price of the tour but can be rented separately at Tromsø Outdoor rental center upon prior arrangement. All guests must wear winter clothes appropriate to the weather in order to be able to participate in the activity.
